Attorney Don Spurrell

Donald E. Spurrell received his law degree from Nashville School of Law and has practiced in the Tri-Cities area since 1987. His comprehensive training as a trial attorney has included graduation from the National Criminal Defense College and years of concentrated training in Federal and Tennessee state civil and criminal practice areas, including appellate practice in both state and federal courts.He is a capital case qualified lawyer and has been trial counsel in numerous capital murder and first degree murder cases. He has tried over a hundred jury trials in a broad spectrum of civil and criminal cases in both federal and state courts. He has handled thousands more cases ranging from serious injury, wrongful death,  police and jail abuse cases, medical negligence, criminal sentencing, civil forfeiture to business litigation.When he isn’t practicing law, you might find him building a wooden boat, playing a game of tennis, or spending time with his family on the St. Lawrence River.

Attorney Grace Studer

Grace E. Studer received her law degree from Charleston School of Law in 2017 where she graduated with magna cum laude honors. During her time at law school, Grace was selected for Charleston Law Review where she held the position of Associate Managing Editor. Prior to moving back home to East Tennessee, Grace defended top clients in Washington State against accident and injury claims and volunteered her legal services to a legal aid clinic defending individuals facing evictions. 

Grace and her father, Don Spurrell, formed Spurrell & Studer Law Group, PLLC, to bring high-quality legal services to their hometown. The father-daughter team handles injury and accident cases, including wrongful death and medical malpractice claims, and complex crse cases in both state and federal court.

Grace also handles family law cases, including divorces and custody disputes, and other complex civil litigation including defamation and Title IX matters. She is known for her dedication to her clients and their cases and her caring but strong approach. When she isn’t practicing law, you can find her hiking with her husband and two dogs, traveling, or crafting.

Attorney LaRae Ganger

LaRae M. Ganger received her law degree at Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2017. While in her third year of law school, LaRae accepted a position with the Jefferson County Public Defender’s Office in Birmingham, Alabama, where she handled a full case load all while balancing life as a full-time law student. She continued her employment with the Public Defender’s Office as a trial attorney after graduation and gained invaluable experience handling hundreds of criminal cases ranging from misdemeanors to Class A felonies. Since moving back to East Tennessee, LaRae has continued to practice criminal defense but has expanded her practice areas to also include juvenile matters, civil matters such as custody and divorce, as well as personal injury cases. LaRae has a strong passion for helping others and always approaches each case with great empathy and compassion all while standing strong and fighting for the best outcome.
